Custom Fit
A custom fit seat cover gives the best fit that can be probably rivaled by only the original factory-installed upholstery. It is manufactured to fit the exact year, make and model of the particular vehicle. It hugs every contour of the seat to give the perfect fit.
Friction
Friction is a term that is used in Physics and it refers to the rubbing together of two objects when either one or both are in motion. The friction releases energy in the form of heat, which eventually leads to deterioration of the surface material.
Neoprene
Neoprene is used in various numbers of applications because of its oil-resistant qualities. It is the basic component in wet suits and is also used in electrical insulation, fan belts, gaskets, noise insulation pads and also seat covers.
Pelts
Pelts are the animal skin that still has got the hair, fur or wool attached to it. Pelts do not shed, like lesser fur seat covers, so it is very popular as a seat cover material.
Pink Slip
Pink slip is the American slang term that stands for the title of a vehicle. Street racers often wager their pink slips, which mean the winner gets to keeps the loser’s vehicle.
Polyester
We come across the term Polyester very often these days. It is actually a synthetic fiber; that has been long been in use for its water resistance qualities. It is also very strong and light weight.
Semi-Custom Fit
A semi-custom fit sat cover fits 80% as well as a custom fit seat cover. A semi-custom seat cover should never be used on vehicles that have side impact airbags, as they hinder the process. And this can lead to risky situations.
Universal Fit
A universal fit seat cover will fit just any bucket seat. Though there are some who still use these covers, but the fact is, these covers never offer a good fit. And so, these covers are not recommended.
UV / Ultra Violet
Ultra violet is the electromagnetic wave of light that is emitted by the sun and is invisible to the human eye. Most of it is filtered out by our atmosphere. But what does get through, is harmful to our skin as well as to our upholstery.
