Coverking products that include custom car covers, custom seat covers, custom dash covers and other vehicle upholstery items are acclaimed as the finest merchandise all over the United States. However, the inside story behind the accolade comprises several issues that may prove pertinent to intending buyers before actually going for the products.

To start with, the company was founded during the late eighties by an enterprising industrial and electrical engineer then employed at the Aerospace Defense industry and so became quite familiar with the micro-computerized production system of defense materials. Utilizing the knowledge thus gained, the entrepreneur applied the same technology in producing vehicle upholstery materials at Coverking’s facilities located also in southern California. When CAD/CAM production was first installed for producing complicated vehicle dashboard covers, it immediately spelt all-round success. Not only did the production quantum reach sky-high, the quality of the product also registered an enormously superior grade as to surpass all previous standards.

The initial success prompted Coverking to go ahead with the production of custom seat covers (seat covers that are specifically made for each marque of vehicle according to make, model, year of manufacture of the vehicle), custom car covers, floorboard mats and related items also through the same computerized automated system. The result of this innovative production method proved to be so accurate that the US auto giant General Motors allowed Coverking to use the GM logo on all vehicle upholstery products made for GM vehicles. This rare honor was followed by the US Government Quality Certification (QS-9000 and TS-16949) awarded to Coverking in appreciation of their high standard of production.

Applying the same technology that had ushered in a revolutionary change, Coverking soon diversified its line, and the store was the same here too. And today, Coverking has become the most celebrated name in automobile covers in the world.
